Portable high-speed camera
High-speed video cameras maker Fastec Imaging says its TS3 100 is a portable, affordable, battery-operated unit that puts “all the power of a high-end, high-speed camera in the palm of your hand.”
The TS3 100 captures 500 frames per second at 1280 x 1024 pixels, and more than 20,000 fps at reduced resolutions. It has a 7-inch touchscreen, and a 4-hour battery.
“We wanted to create a high-speed camera that was going to be easy to use, versatile and very portable, unlike many of the other cameras in this field,” the company adds. “The result is a completely portable and intuitive high-speed camera with the ease of use of a DSLR.”
The price range varies by model and options from $14,000 to $25,000 — a quarter of the price of many competing high-speed cameras, the company says.
