First Android 4.0 build arrives for Intel x86 platform
The developers are still working to resolve lingering issues with sound, cameras, Ethernet connections and graphics acceleration for Intel chips.
Although Intel recently announced that it was collaborating with Google to bring Android support to its Atom chipsets, Android-x86 team member Chih-Wei Huang suggests the unofficial project has received no help from the chip maker. AMD, however, is said to "provide great support," including device donation and engineering assistance.
The team has released an Android 4.0.1 variant optimized for AMD's Brazos APUs.
