STATS: Android 2.2 still the OS on over half of all Android devices
It’s that time of the month again already, when Google’s Android Developers site updates its Platform Versions data and lets us see how the many forms of Android are represented out there in the field.
The comparatively old Android 2.2 is still the most commonplace form of the OS, powering just over half of all Android phones that connected to Google’s servers over the past two weeks…
…with the three separate Honeycomb tablet versions now reaching a total of 1.4% of Android users – marginally up from 1.3% last time and finally overtaking Android 1.5 in total share.
