Car, ATV, and Marine Mounts for the Garmin Montana GPS
My recent review of the new Garmin Montana 650t explored the versatility of this multi-purpose GPS. It works well as a car GPS navigator in landscape screen mode, but it's also rugged and waterproof, with long-lasting battery options, and topographic maps for the backcountry. Its SD card slot also accepts marine charts. Helping make all of these options possible is a set of mounts made by Garmin for the Montana (see photo). The car windshield suction cup mount (top, $49) is familiar to any GPS user and keeps the Montana in your line of site, and charged via a power port charger. The ATV rugged mount (middle, $37) works with an AMPS ball/socket mount, which is also available from Garmin. The marine mount (bottom, $49) comes with cabling and screen glare protectors.
