Android OS Stats by Release August 2011

STATS: Android 3.X now on 1.3% of all Android devices

It’s that time of the month again, when Google updates its Platform Versions developer data with the latest breakdown of the Android ecosystem. The latest stats, for the two week period ending August 1st, show that Android 2.2 is still the most common form of the mobile OS by far – although it’ll be interesting to see if this week’s HTC Desire 2.3 update changes that to a significant degree next month.
Elsewhere we have…

…not a huge amount of change from July’s figures, to be honest, with the various versions of Android 2.3 moving up a few percent, no doubt as that’s the most common form of the OS pre-installed on today’s newest devices.
Good to see Android 3.2 appearing in the listing, too, even if it’s only on a tiny handful of tablets.
